Free website for student organizations
Your club deserves a real web presence — not just a GroupMe link.
Webspansion builds free websites for campus clubs and student organizations that want to look professional, attract members, and establish a real online presence.
Who this is for
This is for campus clubs, student groups, and student-led organizations at any college or university. That includes:
- Cultural and identity organizations
- Academic or professional clubs
- Community service and volunteer organizations
- Arts, music, or performance groups
- Sports clubs and recreational groups
- Political or advocacy student organizations
- Any student-led group that wants to look more credible and attract members
The problem
Most student organizations live entirely on Instagram, a GroupMe, and maybe a Google Doc link. That works for existing members — but it doesn't help you recruit, get recognized by administration, attract sponsors, or look legitimate to outside organizations.
A website signals that your org is organized, real, and serious. It's also a permanent home for your org's information that doesn't disappear when social media accounts change hands.
How Webspansion can help
- A homepage explaining what your org is and who it's for
- About section — your mission, your leadership, your history
- Events or programs section — what you do, when
- How to join — membership info, requirements, links to sign-up
- Contact form or email link
- Social media links
- Gallery if you have photos
- Mobile-friendly layout
- Basic SEO so your org shows up when people search for it
What a free starter website might include
- Homepage with org name, mission, and CTA to join
- About section (what you do, why it exists, leadership team)
- Events or programs listing
- "How to join" section
- Contact info or form
- Photo gallery (if photos available)
- Social links
- Mobile-responsive layout
- Free Webspansion subdomain
What Webspansion does not guarantee
Acceptance is not guaranteed. Projects are selected based on fit, impact, and capacity.
Timeline is not fixed. A realistic estimate is given upfront, but school schedule affects delivery.
Membership growth is not guaranteed. A website is a tool, not a guaranteed recruitment boost.
Post-launch updates are based on availability. Webspansion isn't a managed service — future leadership transitions may require you to learn how to update content yourself or request changes as available.
What to prepare before applying
- Organization name and one-sentence description
- What your org does (events, programs, community, etc.)
- Leadership names and titles (or just yours)
- How people can join
- Logo if available
- Photos from events if available
- Social media links

Frequently asked questions
Common questions about getting a free website for your student org.
Does my student org need to be officially registered with our school?+
No. Registered or unregistered student groups can apply. What matters is whether your org is real, has real activity, and would benefit from a website.
What happens when leadership changes each year?+
The site is built to be easy to update. New leadership can request changes (based on availability), or editing access to certain content can be discussed if needed.
Can you build event registration or member management?+
Full event management or member databases are outside the free scope. But a contact form and links to external tools you already use (Google Forms, Eventbrite, etc.) are doable.
Ready to apply?
Free. No catch. Just apply and explain what your org needs.
